T.A.S.K Force Sunday

Trinity’s mission statement is to be “The very presence of Christ to a lost and broken world so loved by God.” But words are cheap, so we have implemented T.A.S.K. Force Sunday which is faith in action. It stands for “Trinity Acts of Service and Kindness”. It is performing acts of kindness without asking for anything in return. And it is a recognition that the act of service to another can be an act of worship. “For whatever you do to the least of these my children, you do unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)

For our T.A.S.K. Force Sunday, we decided that when a month has five Sundays, we will worship by serving others. We meet at 9:30 am for a short commissioning service. The congregation will then proceed to their chosen project. The projects vary and we make sure that people of every age with different abilities will have a project for them to do.
Some of the projects we have done:
– making lunches for Front Door Ministry
– crocheting blankets for Cancer patients
– making art for orphanage Rancho Santa Marta in Mexico
– making gift baskets for Good Samaritan Hospital patients
– packing donated clothing for Project Hope
– home repairs for Unity Care
– packed meals for Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now)
That same Sunday, the Trinity Family gathers for a celebratory lunch and a time of fellowship!
